Some bottles are rare. Some are legendary. Tonight, you have two.

The 1995 left Robert Parker nearly speechless. He called it “as close to a perfect wine as I could hope to taste,” describing sensational purity of black currant fruit intermixed with raspberries, violets, and well-disguised sweet vanillin, full-bodied with remarkable intensity, exquisite symmetry, and a mid-palate and finish to die for. He closed his note with a confession: “I may have done this wine a disservice by not giving it the big 3-digit score.”

Twenty years later, the 2015 vintage left no such doubt. Awarded 100 points by Wine Advocate, it leaps from the glass with freshly crushed black currants, black cherries, and blackberries, with suggestions of cigar box, chocolates, and pencil lead, medium to full-bodied with a rock-solid backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and finishing with incredible vibrancy and depth.

Together, they tell the story of a single estate across two remarkable decades.

In golf, a double eagle is the rarest score on the course. In wine, this is it.
